Oerlikon Neumag will present itself at this year’s IDEA in Boston with its extensive technology portfolio for the production of nonwovens: from spunbond and meltblown to airlaid through to staple fibres for the production of carded nonwovens. Areas of application include technical, such as filtration, roofing, geotextiles and automotive, in addition to medical and hygiene applications.
The requirement for technical nonwovens accounts for approximately 60 per cent of the entire nonwoven market worldwide. About half of these nonwovens are now produced in Asia. Oerlikon Neumag´s focus at this year´s ANEX and SINCE, from May 13-15 in Shanghai, was on nonwoven and meltblown plants for technical applications
With a specially designed production line, Oerlikon Neumag is addressing the growing need of manufacturers of polyester and polypropylene staple fibres to also be able to make small production units in a cost-effective manner.
