SPGPrints B.V. and Stovec Industries Limited (Stovec) announce several inkjet and rotary screen printing machine sales during ITME 2016. There was significant interest shown by quality printers in SPGPrints’ JAVELIN® digital inkjet textile printer, with sales recorded for both the 1,850 mm-width version of the machine for the apparel market, and the new 3,200 mm-width version for interior decor applications. The new 3,200 mm-width JAVELIN will receive its global debut at Heimtextil 2017.

ITME 2016 marked the first showing in India of the JAVELIN printer. It operated throughout the show, giving visitors a real-time experience of its quality, flexibility, productivity and ease of use, on even the most challenging substrates such as millimetre paper. Using Archer® technology, JAVELIN fires a variable ink drop a distance of 4 mm, enabling a wide range of textiles to be printed with sharp detail, smooth gradations, solid blotches and precise registration. One customer observed: “With this digital scanning printer, SPGPrints definitely shows its capacity to develop next-generation machines with excellent quality and with the lowest printing costs.”

SPGPrints also registered strong demand for its rotary screen technology, with several sales of the company’s printing lines and digital prepress systems. Sales were recorded of the RD-6 rotary screen printing line, which combines high productivity, rapid design changeovers, straightforward operation and quality consistency with minimal manual input. Its robust, tried-and-tested mechanical drive system provides the basis for decades of uninterrupted service, even in tropical and humid conditions.

Among those investing in the Pegasus EVO rotary screen printer was Durga Processors Pvt Ltd, of Gujarat, a leading dyeing and quality textile printing company. The Pegasus EVO printer features servo motors at each print station ensuring precise register and smooth material movement. When in idle mode, the printing head moves up, while the blanket is rotating, reducing machine maintenance and wear and tear of mechanical parts and improving print accuracy and productivity.

Shree Prakash Textiles (Gujarat) Pvt Ltd, of Ahmedabad, a leading manufacturer and exporter of a wide range of quality textiles, has invested in a bestLEN engraver. The bestLEN direct laser engraver provides a single-step dry process that eliminates costly consumables such as film, ink and chemicals, and time-consuming processes like exposing and washing. bestLEN saves prepress time and also reduces job changeover times, increasing printer uptime and productivity.

Sales were also confirmed of SPGPrints’ smartLEX 7043 direct laser exposing system. Its unique multi-beam diode technology offers long life, high productivity and resolutions of up to 2540dpi. Using an intuitive Smart-GUI, smartLEX 7043 exposes screens between 300 mm and 3,500 mm in length, in exposing cycles that can last only a matter of minutes.

Shailesh Wani, Managing Director, Stovec Industries Ltd, comments: “We are delighted with the sales and the level of interest shown in SPGPrints’ products. There was also high interest from international brand-owners who were keen to learn what digital textile printing and its sustainability benefits might mean for them. India ITME 2016 has been a very good show for us.”

Based in the Netherlands, SPGPrints is the leading supplier of systems and technologies for all stages of conventional and digital textile printing. Stovec Industries Ltd is a subsidiary of SPGPrints B.V., that has supplied and serviced SPGPrints’ technologies in the Indian market for more than four decades.

SPGPrints is a global leading company in the textile, label and industrial printing markets. It provides total system solutions, with a portfolio including screens, lacquers, inks, digital engravers, and a broad range of rotary screen and digital printing systems. The company has applied its electroforming expertise to developing both highly reliable rotary screen technology and an extensive programme of precision metal products.
