Rupa & Fruit of the Loom sign pact

Oban Fashions Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rupa and Company Limited, has entered into a license agreement with Fruit of the Loom, INC, headquartered in Kentucky, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
Rupa?s subsidiary has acquired the exclusive license from Fruit of the Loom to manufacture, distribute, advertise and sell innerwear and outerwear products for men, boys, women, girls and toddlers in India, under their brand name.
?At Rupa, we are gearing up for rapid expansion and brand licensing is a huge opportunity for us. We would like to leverage this infrastructure and bring several new brands to India, style while enriching customers? lives through comfort, performance and fun,? said Siddhant Agarwal, VP ? Project and Acquisition, Rupa.
Targeting to position Fruit of the Loom as a premium brand, their products would be be available in 30,000 outlets over the next five years. Fruit of the Loom is the second international brand that will be produced and marketed in India by Rupa after FCUK.?
