Prof Ashok Athalye honoured with ISCMA Outstanding Professor Award

Dr Athalye is a Professor of Textile Chemistry and Vice-President of Technological Association (ICT- Mumbai).

The Indian Speciality Chemical Manufacturers Association (ISCMA), established in 1952, has conferred its prestigious Outstanding Professor Award for Academic Excellence and Research Publications on Prof Ashok Athalye of the Department of Fibres and Textile Processing Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT).

The award was presented at a ceremony held on Friday, 12 December 2025. Prof Athalye was recognised for his significant contributions to academics and research in the field of fibres and textile processing, as well as for his impactful research publications that have advanced knowledge and industry practices in speciality chemicals and textiles.

Dr Athalye is a Professor of Textile Chemistry and Vice-President of Technological Association (ICT- Mumbai), Fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists (FSDC-UK) and Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society (FICS).
