Prashant Group – No. 1 in weaving preparatory

It all started in the year 1975 when Prakash Shah, a man with a dream to succeed big in textile, established Prashant Group in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with just four employees. However, in the last four decades, Prashant Group has grown on to become one of the prominent and fast growing textile machine manufacturing companies in India with more than 900 employees, and over 250 engineers.

The Group first ventured into several textile manufacturing businesses in 1987. Currently, the company has a state-of-the-art R & D department and more than 78,000 sq m of infrastructure. Its main thrust is to provide world-class technologies at appropriate price. Prashant Group employs modern processes and system for manufacturing products that are finest in the industry.

Prashant Group´with their hunger to succeed even further´then ventured into small warping machine business. The Group launched fixed cone technology sectional warping machine under technical collaboration with Gamatex srl, Italy.

Since 1987, the Group has been enjoying the No. 1 position in weaving preparatory. The name itself has become synonymous with weaving solutions in Indian textile machinery. The company’s greatest source of strength and inspiration lies in its manpower. The company’s dedicated and professional staff is focused on design innovation, operational excellence and above all customer satisfaction.

All machines´right from warping machine, direct warper to sectional warper, sizing machine, material handling equipment and all other machinery´are manufactured at its Ahmedabad plant, under joint venture with various US and European companies that include Prashant Gamatex, Prashant West Point Machinery, Prashant Ferber, Prashant Texmach and Prashant Rostoni.

Prashant Group comprises of following companies: Prashant Gamatex of Italy, Prashant West Point Machinery of USA, Prashant Ferber of Italy, Prashant Texmach and Prashant Rostoni of Italy.

Talking about various products on offer from the Group, Amoli Shah, Director, Prashant Group of Companies, said ´In Prashant Gamatex, we offer sectional warping machines, which include supertronic, simpletronic, servotronic, lasertronic, lasertronic Plus and Robowarp MB 3 machine. Prashant Gamatex also offers warping creels, sample warper, sizing winder and beam to beam rolling machine. Under Prashant West Point Machinery, we offer sizing machine, direct warping, creels, denim preparation equipment, polybeamer and unrolling creel. Under joint venture

with Ferber s.r.l, Italy, we offer motorised and manual warp beam handling system and computerised beam stacker. Prashant Rostoni offers draw warping and filament sizing while Prashant Texmach offers narrow fabric machinery.

Prashant Group´s other group of companies include Prasad Koch-Technik, a manufacturer of plastic auxiliary equipment; Prasad GWK Cooltech, a manufacturer of chillers and mould temp. Controllers; Prasad Wemo Robot System, a provider of servo robot system and automation in injection moulding; Prasad Crilec Automation, a provider of conveyor belts and part handling system; Prasad Machinery for for online slow speed granulators; Prasad Machinery for granulators; and PPi Pumps Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of water ring vacuum pumps.

In future, the Group is planing to venture into technical textiles as well. ´Expansion is a ongoing process. Technical textile is a very wide market. We already have quite a few products in our portfolio and we plan to launch even more in coming years But this will happen only in a phase-wise manner. We are planning to develop few more material handling equipments, we are planning for few specialized products which will be helpful to our Indian weavers´, says Amoli Shah.
