The exhibition is scheduled to take place from February 26 – 29.

Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister, announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be inaugurating Bharat Tex 2024 Expo, a four-day exhibition in the textiles sector, starting from February 26. Goyal mentioned that the exhibition is scheduled to take place from February 26 – 29.

He further informed that the event will be hosted at the Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes, marking the first occasion where the entire textile sector is converging on a single platform.

Goyal also shared details about a three-day event called ‘Startup Mahakumbh,’ set to be held from March 18 at Bharat Mandapam. Describing it as the largest gathering of startups, unicorns, and soonicorns, he emphasised that it would be a comprehensive display of the Indian narrative, showcasing the stories of the country’s youth, talent, technology, and innovation. Goyal highlighted that India holds the position of being the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.

He added that the government has recognised over 1.17 lakh startups to date.
