In a first, India will have its own size chart for ready-to-wear clothes. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi under the Ministry of Textiles will undertake an extensive research study to develop a comprehensive size chart for the ready-to-wear garment industry based on body measurements of the Indian population.

The Albstadt-based circular knitting machine manufacturer Mayer & Cie. has received an IKU award. The SME won a Climate and Environment Innovation Prize (IKU) for its spinitsystems spinning and knitting technology.

India’s largest denim fabric manufacturer, Nandan Denim Limited (NDL), has reported a net profit of Rs 13.93 crore for the Q3 of FY 2017-18 as against Rs 8.63 crore in the corresponding period of 2016-17, a rise of 61 per cent.

Dr Frank Heislitz, currently Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Freudenberg Performance Materials, will take over the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Freudenberg Performance Materials with effect from April 1, 2018.
