Maiden GTTES makes indelible impression

GTTES 2015, organised by the India-ITME Society at the Bombay Exhibition Centre for three days starting January 20, 2015, set a new trend in exhibition by focusing on the Asian market, with about 250 exhibitors touting their wares. Unlike the legendary India-ITME show, which comes once every four years, GTTES was conspicuous for giving a rest to the big machinery makers, who are awaiting the ITMA Milano in November this year, and giving the right place to those new segments like digital printing and textile related services. Even then, some big names like Staubli, Itema Weaving, Alidhra Weavetech, ATE Group, Luwa, etc were jostling for larger space to show their strength in the Asian Indian market.
GTTES 2015 also crossed a new milestone in introducing a big battalion of Chinese textile machinery industry, with a varied basket of machines and equipment for the entire textile industry. But it was the digital printing industry, which carried the day, by attracting huge crowds, demonstrating that digital printing is coming of age in India.
Overall, the show was impressive. GTTES, after all, was organised as a unique and exclusive show for the textile-related services. And as is customary, India-ITME showed that they could bring out the best of their professionalism in whatever they launch for the textile industry.
