MAG’s R&D has been recognised by Department of Science and Industrial Research

MAG Solvics, an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, is one of the leading textile testing instruments manufacturers, fulfilling the needs of the end-to-end textile industry´s testing solutions. Established in 1991, MAG Solvics has more than 7,500 installations worldwide. With a sophisticated and well equipped R&D centre, the company designs and develops technologically advanced instruments. Its R&D centre has achieved recognition from Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India.

In a tete-a-tete with ITJ Senior Sub Editor Karthik Muthuveeran, Dhandayuthapani (CD), Director, MAG Solvics Private Limited, talks on the market for MAG´s products in India, and the latest product offerings for the Indian and global markets. Excerpts from the interview…

Karthik Muthuveeran (KM): How do you look at the Indian market for your products? What are your plans for the Indian market?
Dhandayuthapani (CD):
India is a very good and big market. A lot of new projects and expansions are coming up in all regions of India. Indian market will always look for high quality products with affordable cost which MAG is doing perfectly on this front. A.T.E. Enterprises Private Ltd is our agent in India, who is also focused towards customers and quality of products. We are working hand in hand to increase the volume of business.

MAG has plans not only for Indian market, but for abroad also. We are aware the need of some new products which are not in our range, but market is looking for. MAG started working for the same and the same will be launched in appropriate time.

KM: Since its inception, how has your company fared all along its growth phase and what was the turning point when it took off?
Dhandayuthapani (CD):
MAG Solvics Pvt Ltd is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, established in 1991. We are mainly engaged in manufacturing of textile laboratory testing instruments for entire textile industry needs. We provide complete range of testing instruments for ginning, spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing & apparel sector. We have more than 130 products to cater to all segments.

We are rigid in our intention such as best quality, performance and consistency. Our entire spectrum of testing instruments are comparable with any international standards such as ISO, ASTM, AATCC, BS, SDC, IS, IWS, DIN, ITMF etc.

MAG has grown into a full-fledged organisation with its own and very sophisticated R&D facilities at par with the best in this field. Moreover, our R&D has been recognised by the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Govt. of India. Though we initially started our supply with basic equipment, but today we evolved ourselves to supply high value products such as high volume fibre testing, fully automatic trash separator, evenness tester and single yarn strength tester which very well accepted in the market.

MAG is always customer centric. Even all its departments work by keeping customer at central point. An excellent customer support wing renders with prompt technical and commercial support before and aftersales.

KM: What are the latest product offerings for the Indian and global markets?
Dhandayuthapani (CD):
Apart from our basic equipment, we are regularly started supplying high value products such as high volume fibre testing and evenness tester in the market. Now our latest offering is AccuTrash (Fully Automatic Trash Separator) and TensoMaster (Fully Automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester).

AccuTrash is new innovated product from MAG where customer can determine the percentage of trash content of the raw cotton, Blow Room Lap
