Itema has announced a strategic partnership with Ivy Decarb, a digital platform dedicated to helping textile companies measure, compare, and reduce their carbon footprint. With this collaboration, Itema becomes one of the first textile machinery manufacturers to join the platform, strengthening its leadership in advancing sustainability across the weaving industry.
The textile sector is under increasing pressure to meet steep decarbonisation goals, and the Ivy Decarb Marketplace brings together stakeholders from across the value chain to support this transition. Through the platform, textile manufacturers can access detailed, comparable data on machinery performance, including energy consumption, emissions, and lifecycle carbon footprint. This transparency enables weavers to evaluate suppliers more effectively and make informed, sustainability-focused investment decisions. The platform also facilitates financing through partnerships with local banks, helping accelerate adoption of greener technologies.
