Italy´s textile machinery sector displays its latest technology to Russian textile manufacturers at a technology seminar to be held in Ivanovo on 9 April. Raffaella Carabelli (President of ACIMIT): ´Italian businesses are ready to meet the demands of modernising Russia´s textile industry.´

ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, and ICE-Italian Trade Agency will be holding a technology seminar on 9 April in Ivanovo, a well known textile manufacturing cluster in Russia.

Accompanied by a series of visits to manufacturers and meetings with local authorities, this event is part of the Machines Italia in Russia plan, organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and coordinated by Federmacchine, the Italian Federation of associations of producers of capital goods, which ACIMIT belongs to. The goal of this plan is to re-launch exports of Italian machinery to the Russian market.

The aim of Italy´s technology seminar in Ivanovo is to provide Russian manufacturers with first-hand knowledge of the state-of-the-art in Italian textile machinery technology, at a time in which the local authorities have initiated pilot projects.
