India’s AEPC provides global apparel sector with full value chain solution

The chairman of the (AEPC) emphasised that this platform offers immense opportunities, considering the projected growth of the global apparel market, which is expected to reach $ 1.9 trillion by 2025.          

According to Naren Goenka, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council of India (AEPC), there are significant opportunities in the textiles sector, and India provides a comprehensive solution for the entire value chain in the apparel segment, from farming to fashion. He further stated that the India International Garment Fair (IIGF) in Noida serves as a direct marketing platform for MSME exporters from all over the country. The fair brings together approximately 300 exhibitors and over 2,500 overseas buyers and buying agents.   

He stated that the IIGF is the largest platform in Asia, where Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) present the latest trends in garments and fashion accessories to the world and initiate the process of booking orders.      

The chairman of the (AEPC) emphasised that this platform offers immense opportunities, considering the projected growth of the global apparel market, which is expected to reach $ 1.9 trillion by 2025.          

He added, “By providing a complete value chain solution from farm to fashion, India gives us a competitive advantage by reducing lead times to reach our buyers. Networking events like these will play a crucial role in bridging the gap and further strengthening this bond.”

Lalit Thukral, Chairman of IGFA, informed that this edition of the fair includes participants from 13 states.
