One of the world’s leading academic institutions, the University of Liverpool, has joined forces with the International Cotton Association (ICA), to develop a new online course, which will lead to a professional certificate for the commodity world.
A first for the commodity industry, this unique bespoke course aims to provide delegates with a broad and practical introduction to the key learnings that are needed in today’s commodity management. Developed for those currently working, or aspiring to work, in the commodity industry the training provides affordable, easy access through a flexible study approach.
Using a credit based system, the course comprises six online modules that cover key aspects of commodity management. The first module – Financial Markets and Risk Management – has been developed. Study will commence 8 May 2017 and enrolment is now open.
“This is a ground-breaking initiative,” says Kai Hughes, ICA Managing Director. “There has been a huge gap in the commodity trade for this type of accredited training. We wanted to do something about it and we were delighted when the University of Liverpool agreed to come on board.”
