Fadis scales new peaks in speed & precision in winding
The over 56-year old Italian giant, Fadis is the only company in the world to be able to offer the most appropriate machine range to prepare yarns, in the form of Packages, Fapp, Muff and Hanks. With its SINCRO M, a new concept of winding machine with precision crossing and electronic yarn guide which can reach speeds up to 1,750 m/min, it is possible to produce FAPP? low density packages (FAdis Precision Package), which allow for wide retraction margins of the yarn during the dyeing phase, thus keeping a high residual elasticity percentage of the elasticised yarn.

The over 56-year old Italian giant, Fadis is the only company in the world to be able to offer the most appropriate machine range to prepare yarns, in the form of Packages, Fapp?, Muff and Hanks.
Therefore, with this widely tested technological system, and the possibility of unwinding the FAPP? with the SINCRO RFM SW rewinding machine with its ?on-line? tension control, it is possible to obtain qualitative results quite similar to hank dyeing but with the same simplicity and economy typical of yarn package dyeing.
Thanks to an historical experience matured in the winding field, especially with the SWIFTENS tension controlled hank winding system, aware of the difficulties connected to the unwinding of low density packages, Fadis was the first to develop the SINCRO RFM SW rewiHall 1b, Booth B7nding machine with precision crossing and electronic yarn guide with a tension controlled motorised unwinding device with ?à la déroulé? system to unwind the ?FAPP??, ?MUFF?, ?BOBBINS? and ?HANKS? on their various feeder supports with the ?à la déroulé? system at a speed of up to 1,400 m/min meaning three or four times faster than any other existing technology.
Fadis is an historic company, champion of the best technological Made in Italy around the world, with a capillary post-sales service, celebrating over 56 years of activity. What is the core business? Up-to-date precision textile winder machines for the processing of all types of yarn, on an open platform, in other words with a common basic structure, but to which it is possible to add accessories for maximum customisation.
?The heart of the company of Solbiate Arno ? Italy is the Carabelli family. Fadis was founded in 1960 by my grandfather. The business grew with our father Danilo, while the current ?driving forces? of Fadis are my three siblings and I: Raffaella, global sales director, but also President of Acimit (Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machineries for the Textile Industry), Giuseppe, sales director for China, Taiwan, Korea and Italia, and in charge of production and development, Elena, supporting Raffaella and I, the administration, marketing and communication director?, says Debora Carabelli, emphasising the constant harmony of the family top management.
?The secret lies in constantly travelling round the world, as my brother and sisters do: we are present in 70 countries, the latest arrivals are Senegal and Bolivia. Lately, Asia has played the starring role with China accounting for 25 per cent of revenue. And, surprisingly, even Italia has returned to being the second largest buyer,? says Debora Carabelli.
?We opened a representative office in China, because being close to the actual market is strategic to gain stimuli for the construction of new machinery. For example, Elastanne fabric has been highly successful recently, therefore we have developed dedicated technologies. Fadis? entire production is strictly Italian, taking place in the factory in Solbiate Arno, 95 per cent of suppliers are Italian, thereby ensuring total quality, which includes careful control, testing and the most prestigious certifications, including the 100 per cent Made in Italy certification for origin and quality. Fadis is also a green company: in 2011 it installed a photovoltaic plant with an annual energy production of 650 thousand kilowatts and took part in the ?Sustainable Technologies? project promoted by Acimit,? she says. ?By investing 8 per cent of our turnover in R&D, we have developed machines that enable energy savings of 12 per cent. We?ve also made them more compact, recovering 33 per cent of the space?, she adds.
