During the times when the world is facing energy crisis and industries stressing on reduction of carbon footprint, energy conservation is of utmost importance. In order to be competitive in the market, operating costs play a major role, and reduction in this cost means reduction in overall pricing of the product leading to increased revenues. Compressed air is one of the most energy intensive areas in textile as most of the machines need energy in terms of compressed air. However, losses in compressed air can lead to substantial losses, which are very commonly found in industries around the globe. Hence proper selection and designing of a compressed air system plays an important role.

Applications like airjet looms, air texturising, weaving, conveying, etc. require low pressure in the range from 2.5 to 4.5 bar selection of right compressor. The general norm of the industry is to use a normal pressure compressor of 7 bar and run it at lower pressure leading to tremendous loss of energy and issues like oil carryover, temperature increase, etc., which increases maintenance costs substantially. Air compressors are [specifically] designed for low pressure not only to reduce the maintenance costs but also to reduce the energy involved drastically. Increase by 1 kg/cm2 of pressure increases the power by 5 per cent hence running a high pressure compressor for low pressure increases power consumed by 15-25 per cent. Dry Air India represents Hanbell screw compressors in India, which have been manufacturing compressors specifically for low pressure. By optimising air end sizes, design of air cooler and larger oil tank the pressure drop is minimum, which results in high energy savings easy maintainability with ample of working place and customer-friendly control system.

Dry Air India in addition to distributing Hanbell screw air compressors also deals in air dryers, filters, piping and designing. The company also hav a wing that handles the manufacturing of dehumidification systems and turnkey HVAC solutions.
