Delair’s compressed air dryer

Dry compressed air is a must for compressed air-powered pneumatic tools and systems. Compressed Air Dryer – Desiccant Type removes moisture from compressed air. A major problem in compressed air systems is the presence of water, dust particles, oil (oils particles are introduced by lubricated air compressors) and solid contaminants, which can adversely affect air quality. If the compressed air is not dry, there will be corrosion in compressed air pipeline, pneumatic tools and systems, which will lead to malfunctioning.

Delair offers both ranges of compressed air dryers – refrigeration and adsorption. Refrigeration dryer is ideal for general instrumentation and controls, where pressure dew point from 3°C to 6°C are considered adequate. Adsorption dryer provides a much lower atmospheric dew point from (-)20°C to (-) 60°C at a relative compressed air humidity of only 0.1 per cent.

Desiccant dryers are based on the principle of pressure and temp swing and the physical properties of their desiccant to adsorb and desorb the water vapours. Desiccant dryers are offered in four options: heat of compression, no loss split flow, blower reactivated and standard heatless type.

The standard units in certified ratings are offered from 6 Nm3/hour to 10,000 Nm3/hour. Special units can be built to handle any pressure and air capacity with atmospheric dew points as low as (-)70°C. Special features of dryers include: reliable and long life valves and switching devices, solid state controls, microprocessors-based optional DelSmart card for continuous monitoring, readouts, energy conservation and fault detection alarms. Delair also manufactures gas dryer, pre-filter, after-cooler, moisture separator and auto drain valve.
