CII Punjab appoints Trident Group’s Abhishek Gupta as the Chairman

Amit Jain, Managing Director of Shingora Textiles, has been appointed as Vice-Chairman.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Punjab concluded its annual session for 2023-2024 in Chandigarh with the announcement of new leadership. Abhishek Gupta, Chief â€“ Strategic Marketing at Trident, has been appointed as Chairman, while Amit Jain, Managing Director of Shingora Textiles, has been appointed as Vice-Chairman.

In a ceremonious transition, Dr P J Singh, the esteemedPast Chairman of CII Punjab andCMD of Tynor Orthotics, handed over the baton of leadership to Gupta.

Passing the baton to the new leadership, he emphasised, “Nurturing a culture of innovation through R&D and partnering with academic institutions is the one Chief – Strategic Marketing, Trident agenda that CII Punjab is keen to carry forward. I am sure that under Mr Abhishek Gupta’s able leadership, we will be able to empower Punjabi businesses to not only survive but thrive in the competitive global arena.”

Expressing gratitude for the entrusted responsibility, Gupta extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr Singh and said “The ongoing issues championed by the outgoing Dr PJ Singh are not just relevant for the industry, they’re essential for Punjab’s continued growth. I assure you that these, along with other pressing concerns, will remain at the forefront of our agenda during my tenure.”
