Piyush Goyal emphasised that the addition of the park would further enhance the rapid progress of Maharashtra.

The central government expressed its anticipation for the Pradhan Mantri mega integrated textile region and apparel (PM Mitra) park in Amravati, Maharashtra, expecting it to attract an investment of Rs 10,000 crore and generate employment for 300,000 individuals.

During the launch event of the PM Mitra textile park, Piyush Goyal, Union Textile Minister emphasised that the addition of the park would further enhance the rapid progress of Maharashtra.

Goyal stated that Maharashtra’s significant contributions throughout the entire textile value chain, from Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, made it a natural choice for a textile park.

Goyal further highlighted that the well-connected infrastructure of Amravati, including its road, rail, port, and airport networks, would significantly boost the textile industry in Maharashtra.

During the event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), the state government, and the Union Ministry of Textiles for the establishment of PM Mitra park.
