I n 2018, the OEKO-TEX Association endeavours to provide further targeted support on issues relating to consumer protection and sustainability throughout the textile value creation chain. The existing guidelines of the OEKO-TEX product portfolio were updated on January 2, 2018. The new regulations come into effect on April 1, 2018 for all certification systems and other services, following a three-month transition period. OEKO-TEX presents the new product regulations in detail to interested companies during a webinar on January 30, 2018 at 12:00 noon (EST, UTC-5). Participation is free. Indo Count Industries Limited, one of the leading manufacturer and exporter of bed linen and home textiles in India, has won the prestigious gold trophy for the “highest exports of cotton made-ups (bed linen/bed sheets/quilts)” for the year 2016-2017. Having won Bronze and Silver trophy in the past, this is the first time that Indo Count has been awarded with Gold Trophy.

SSM showed two new product launches for the first time at the ShanghaiTex 2017. The PWX-CTM, for cone-to-muff, and the PWX-MTC, for muff-to-cone winding, generated large interest. SSM was very pleased by the high response on their shared booths.
