The garment exporters and manufactures will
expand in the Gautam Budh Nagar in Noida, which is known as the City of
Apparel. A 150-acre land is being developed in the Sector 29 area of Yeida.

In the Apparel
City, the land allotment has already been done and around 91 readymade garment
manufacturers and exporters have chosen their plots which will be given to them
in a month. According to Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster, garment
manufacturers have chosen their land at the Apparel City and have received
allotment letters. Once they will get the possessions of their plots, they will
start building their factories. The entire construction will be completed
within a year and the hub will start functioning by 2023.

According to
Arun Vir Singh, CEO, YEIDA, no formal inauguration date has been decided by the
team but the possession will be completed in the coming months. Thukral also
said that the garment cluster will draw an investment of Rs 25 billion. Huge
employment will be generated with this project.
