Addressing global home textile exporters, importers, and manufacturers, the Minister emphasised India’s increasing competitiveness and the need for collaboration to foster sustainable growth.

Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, encouraged investors to capitalise on the expanding opportunities in India’s textile sector, warning that missing out on the Indian market could lead to a fear of missing out, according to a statement from the ministry.

At the inauguration of the India Pavilion at Heimtextil 2025, held at Messe Frankfurt, the Minister invited global investors, urging them to invest in India, highlighting the “Make in India, Make for the World” initiative.

With the largest participation from any country at this prestigious global home textiles fair, India showcased its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international partnerships, the ministry added.

Addressing global home textile exporters, importers, and manufacturers, the Minister emphasised India’s increasing competitiveness and the need for collaboration to foster sustainable growth. He invited all participating countries to attend Bharat Tex 2025 to explore investment opportunities within India’s flourishing textile ecosystem.

During an Investors’ Meet with textile and machinery manufacturers, the Minister highlighted India’s growth trajectory and rising Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) over the past decade, emphasising that the ‘Make in India’ initiative has been a proven strategy in positioning India as a competitive manufacturing hub.

On the sidelines of Heimtextil, the Minister also met with the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association and IVGT from Germany, urging them to strengthen their engagement with India’s textile sector. He noted that India is one of the largest textile machinery buyers, stressing the mutual benefits of German manufacturers investing in and producing machinery in India.

Citing the success of a German sewing thread manufacturer already flourishing in India, he encouraged other machinery manufacturers to explore and expand their investments in the Indian market.

The government actively supports Indian exporters in participating in international events like Heimtextil to boost their global visibility and foster their growth in competitive markets.

During his visit, the Minister toured various stalls at the exhibition, interacting with exhibitors to gain insight into their latest offerings and innovations in home textiles, the ministry reported.

The craftsmanship of Indian exporters reaffirmed the government’s dedication to supporting the sector’s global ambitions, according to the release.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from industry leaders and exporters, highlighting India’s determination to fortify its position as a global leader in the textile industry.
