Textile Ministry Hosts Interactive Session with 30 Foreign Missions

Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, underscored the significance of Bharat Tex 2025 in the global textiles industry and urged attendees to join as partner countries.

In an effort to encourage international participation, the Ministry of Textiles recently organised an interactive session with more than 30 foreign missions in New Delhi for Bharat Tex 2025, the forthcoming mega global textile event. Pabitra Margherita, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, attended the event as the Chief Guest and extended an invitation to ambassadors and representatives from various countries to take part in the occasion, as noted in a PIB release.

The event witnessed participation from countries including Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lesotho, Montenegro, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Taiwan, Togo, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Bharat Tex 2025, scheduled to take place from 14-17 February, 2025, is expected to be the largest and most comprehensive textiles event ever, bringing together the entire textile value chain under one roof. The event will occur simultaneously at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

It is anticipated that over 5,000 exhibitors and 6,000 international buyers from more than 110 countries will attend, along with over 120,000 visitors. Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, underscored the significance of Bharat Tex 2025 in the global textiles industry and urged attendees to join as partner countries. She also highlighted the Indian government’s robust policy support and incentives for the sector, which include the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) and PM-MITRA Parks schemes.
