The collaboration aims to introduce efficient and sophisticated German textile technology to the Indian market, addressing the rising demand for innovative textile manufacturing systems.

Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas, has entered into a strategic partnership with the German engineering company Erbatech GmbH to deliver advanced wet finishing solutions for woven fabrics in India’s textile sector.

The collaboration aims to introduce efficient and sophisticated German textile technology to the Indian market, addressing the rising demand for innovative textile manufacturing systems.

Pradip Roy, Head of Textile Machinery at UMPESL, noted that the partnership would not only enhance UMPESL’s product portfolio but also strengthen its position as a comprehensive provider of state-of-the-art textile machinery in the country.

Klaus Bergmann, Head of Sales at Erbatech GmbH, highlighted the significance of the Indian market, describing it as one of the world’s leading textile industries. He stated that working with UMPESL would enable Erbatech to showcase and promote its latest wet finishing technologies to a dynamic and rapidly expanding customer base.

This collaboration marks a significant move towards modernising India’s textile infrastructure by combining Erbatech’s engineering expertise with UMPESL’s deep market insight and distribution strength.
