Bernie Jordan, a cotton grower from Yazoo City, Mississippi, will serve as the Cotton Incorporated Board Chairman. Jordan was elected to the two-year Chairman’s term at the joint Cotton Incorporated and Cotton Board meeting in Charlotte, NC this past December.

“Bernie has a wealth of knowledge on the key issues and concerns facing the modern cotton industry,” says Cotton Incorporated President and CEO J Berrye Worsham. “His knowledge combined with demonstrated leadership within national and regional cotton organisations make him well-suited for his role as Chairman.”

Jordan, a native of Yazoo City, has been a Director on the Cotton Incorporated Board for more than 21 years. In addition to his role on the Cotton Incorporated Board, Bernie Jordan brings a range of industry experience and leadership expertise to his new role.

Since 1983 he has been co-owner and partner of Jordan Farms, a diversified row crop farm with interests in Yazoo and Humphreys Counties, as well as Jordan Land & Timber. He is co-owner and President of Yazoo Planters Gin Co. Jordan is also a Director and Treasurer of the Mississippi Boll Weevil Management Corporation, and serves on the boards of a range of regional cotton organizations including: the Delta Council; the Yazoo County Farm Bureau; Delta Wildlife; and on the Yazoo City advisory committee for Staplcotn.
