In a farewell speech that saw Jean-Marc Derossis hand over the ICA presidency to Jürg Reinhart, Jean-Marc spoke of how privileged he felt to have served as President and paid tribute to the ICA’s Board and its secretariat: “It has been a true privilege to serve the Association, especially in such an auspicious Anniversary year. It has been exciting, it has been a lot of work, I’ve received the delightful hospitality of many cotton people around the world and I’ve enjoyed working with a remarkable Board and such a dedicated Secretariat.â€
The evening was closed with a theatrical production based on the ICA’s recently published book ‘The Story of Cotton’. Guests described it as “The best event ever†and “Simply stunningâ€. Next year’s event will take place in Singapore.
