Indian Science Monitor awards Prof Ramkumar for bridging science and spirituality

Prof Ramkumar received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his 25 years of contributions to strengthening India–USA cooperation in science and technology.

Padma Vibhushan awardee Professor Roddam Narasimha, Fellow of Royal Society, formerly with Indian Institute of Science and Dr V Kamakoti, current director at Indian Institute of Technology [IIT-Madras] are a  few who have been bestowed with Lifetime Award by Indian Science Monitor, a foundation to promote the harmony between science and culture.

On July 30, 2025, Professor Seshadri Ramkumar of Texas Tech University, USA received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 25 years of service in promoting India-USA collaborations in S & T and creating a harmony with culture. His lectures on Life Management Skills from the epic Ramayana got the attention of the foundation.

R Chandramouli, former Indian Ambassador to Djibouti presented the award in the presence of Dr K Rama Subramaniam, Valiant Technologies, and S Seetharaman, well known industrialist and social elite in Kumbakonam, India.

Dr T K V Rajan, founder of Indian Science Monitor read the citation and coordinated the event.

People from all walks of life such as Kalaimamani awardee singer, teachers, retired government service personal attended the function held at Srivatsam on the banks of fully flowing Cauvery river near Kumbakonam, India.

As part of the award function, Dr Ramkumar delivered a lecture on Life Management and Ramayana in Tamil which was telecast live.
