Siemens India reaffirmed its commitment to partner India at the Hannover, showcasing integrated technologies for manufacturing automation and smart cities from the comprehensive electrification, automation and digitization portfolio.
At ABB stall, Bazmi Husain, Managing Director, ABB India and Ulrich Spiesshofer, CEO, ABB presented YuMi to Modi and Merkel. ABB has been making in India for more than five decades and has invested in world-class facilities and resources in the country. YuMi is the world’s first collaborative dual-arm robot, launched at Hanover Fair 2015. With this robot, it will be the first time that humans and machines will be able to work hand-in-hand in the same workspace, freed from the constraints posed by safety barriers. ABB is a leader in robotics: In 1974, the company unveiled the world?s first microprocessor-controlled electric industrial robot. Today, ABB has an installed base of more than 2,50,000 industrial robots, many of which already are equipped with intelligent technology that enables remote maintenance.
