Garware Technical Fibres Q1 FY27 PAT Rises 21.5%

Net sales rise 31.4% as synthetic cordage and geosynthetics drive growth.

Garware Technical Fibres reported a 21.5 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 645 million in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 531 million in Q1 FY26.

Net sales increased 31.4 per cent to Rs 4.82 billion during the quarter, from Rs 3.67 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit before tax (PBT) rose 22.7 per cent to Rs 864 million in Q1 FY27 from Rs 704 million in Q1 FY26. Earnings per share increased 22.6 per cent to Rs 6.56 from Rs 5.35.

Vayu Garware, CMD, Garware Technical Fibres, said the revenue growth was primarily driven by the strong performance of the synthetic cordage segment, supported by healthy domestic demand, the salmon aquaculture business and normalisation of operations in the US following tariff-related disruptions.

The company’s geosynthetics business also maintained its growth momentum and delivered strong profitability during the quarter.

Garware Technical Fibres said higher raw material costs and elevated freight rates linked to the ongoing Middle East conflict affected revenue during the quarter. The company managed the impact by passing higher costs on to customers, although with a time lag.

The company continues to monitor raw material price volatility and geopolitical developments while focusing on proactive supply chain management and strategic procurement. It also plans to maintain its focus on new product development and profitable growth.
