Rahul Mehta is new President of IAF
Rahul Mehta, President, The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, has been elected as the New President of the International Apparel Federation (IAF) for 2014-2016 at the General Assembly of the IAF held on 29 September 2014 in Medellin, Colombia, during the 30th World Fashion Convention.
Rahul Mehta, President, The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, has been elected as the New President of the International Apparel Federation (IAF) for 2014-2016 at the General Assembly of the IAF held on 29 September 2014 in Medellin, Colombia, during the 30th World Fashion Convention. Mehta succeeds Harry Van Dalfsen, who was president for last four years.
The general assembly also elected Claudio Marenzi, President of the Italian Apparel and Textile Association, Systema Moda Italia (SMI) as the New Vice President. Han Bekke, Secretary General, IAF , who will step down at the end of the year, will take over at the new treasurer of IAF from Hasan Arat, who has stepped down from the board of IAF. Matthijs Crietee, currently Deputy Secretary General, will take over as the New Secretary General of IAF from 1 January 2015.
IAF, based out of The Netherlands, is a Federation of the National Clothing Associations of nearly 50 countries, including the US, UK, Europe, Japan, China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc., representing over 1,50,000 companies who provide products and services to the apparel industry.
