Bombay Dyeing Q3 loss widens

Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing reported widening of its standalone net loss at Rs 78.15 crore for the third quarter ended December 31. The company had posted a standalone net loss of Rs 65.93 crore for the same period of last financial year. Its net sales on standalone basis declined by 35.12 per cent to Rs 325.77 crore during the period as against Rs 502.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year.

The firm?s revenue from textiles segment stood at Rs 48.69 crore during the quarter under consideration as against Rs 145.84 crore in the same period last financial year. Revenue from polyester was also down to Rs 241.64 crore during the third quarter of the current financial year as against Rs 330.63 crore in the year-ago period.
