Batliboi Air Engineering Group is among the leaders in textile air engineering industry known for supplying world class equipment. Batliboi-AESA Air Engineering offers highly advanced automated solutions. In this interview, Manish Kapoor, Vice President, Batliboi Ltd, Air Engineering Group, how the company is catering to the needs of textile industry and advantages of using the right air engineering solutions.

Please brief us about Batliboi Air Engineering Group

Batliboi Air Engineering Group is among the leaders in textile air engineering industry. It is a well-known supplier for the world class equipment. Batliboi-AESA Air Engineering is offering solutions to the entire textile value chain from raw material to finished products. There are solutions for various textile verticals namely natural and manmade fibres; from ring spinning and filament yarn to weaving.

Why is it important to maintain air quality for textile units (involved in spinning, weaving, knitting, etc)? Does the requirement of air quality differ from fibre to fibre?

It is important to maintain the air quality in textile units as the fibre needs conducive environment for processing. It is even more important with new technologies in textile production machines available in high speed with large production variants. This results in high concentrated heat loads inside the machine hall that calls for better and precise environment control. Our systems help high yield through these high-speed machines with consistent environment conditions. The experience shows that production machine efficiencies increase with better controlled environment.

The requirement of air quality also differs due to different hygroscopic nature of respective fibre.

How is your company helping textile units to maintain and measure air quality?

Batliboi-AESA is offering solutions to all textile industries, offering waste evacuation systems with automatic baling to humidification systems to air conditioning and precision air conditioning.

What are the advantages of your air engineering solutions?

Batliboi–AESA Air Engineering is having the expertise in the field with international standards. The solutions from Batliboi are of the highest standards to meet the customer demands from various verticals.

Batliboi-AESA has some unique products which are not available in the market with any of the competitors. All these products are available for advantages like energy saving, more fibre handling, reduced water handling, space saving and many more.

Do you offer digital solutions (automated solutions) for air engineering? If yes, could you explain their benefits to the textile industry?

Batliboi-AESA offers highly advanced automated solutions. The entire system is automated through advanced industrial controllers with high accuracy Field Instruments and online Central Monitoring Systems. The advanced versions are even available with online access through Local Area Network (LAN) or SMS Alerts or even with Android App based access. Many new features have been introduced from time to time. Most of our customers are opting based on their respective needs. Details can be made available to customers on demand. Our team will be happy to assist for specific solutions.

Any new systems/products you are developing (or planning to launch) for improving air quality in textile units? If yes, please elaborate

We have recently launched new features on the automation front and filtration systems. Increased filtration area, new products like Lycra separator etc have been introduced in the product line.

What are the factors involved in selecting the right systems to maintain air quality in a textile unit?

Air engineering is primarily designed on ambient conditions and machine heat loads; hence, the location of the unit will have impact on the right design. More the clarity is given for designing, accurate is the solution.

What are the emerging trends in air engineering systems with respect to their usage in textile units?

The emerging trend in air engineering system is the prefabricated housing for the humidification and waste collection systems. This was quite common for manmade fibre industry earlier. But, now in the natural fibre industry also it is picking up. Most of the customers are opting for prefabricated housing to save time of installation. Batliboi-AESA has rich experience in prefabricated housing plants and has the privilege to install large/mega projects.
