One of the oldest textile businesses in India, Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company, is selling the last of its textile manufacturing units, as competition from the unorganised sectors, growing imports from Taiwan, China and Bangladesh have rendered its factory nonviable.

In September 2014, Van de Wiele extrusion successfully signed a contract with a Turkish customer to deliver a BCF extrusion line. The line is a mono colour line able to produce polypropylene, polyamide 6 and polyester BCF yarns. The mono colour line is delivered in March 2015. Other orders have been accepted and will be delivered in the near future.
The French textile machinery has been a partner of the Russian textile industry for many years. After several seminars already held in Russia, UCMTF the French association of textile machinery manufacturers, organised in October 2014, a technological forum in Moscow with the support of the Russian textile association, SOYUZLEGPROM.
