ZinserSpeed 51M: First class in energy saving, optimal roving

The engineers at Zinser have succeeded in creating a small energy marvel with the new roving frame ZinserSpeed 51M for manual doffing. Not only is the machine extremely energy-efficient, but it also manages sudden power outages superbly and guarantees first-class roving and maximum productivity.

Precision and sophisticated roving frame technology are the distinguishing features of the new ZinserSpeed 51M. Innovation for first-class roving and fast, reliable, energy-saving production.

The need to cut energy costs is an issue that people in all countries are focusing on increasingly. Not just increasing prices, but the availability of energy is a great challenge in numerous countries, as limited energy capacity causes frequent power failures. Textile machinery manufacturers must react to these basic conditions. Because energy consumption must be reduced and modern machinery must be capable of operating in unreliable power supply networks.

While developing the new ZinserSpeed 51M roving frame, the Zinser development engineers concentrated in particular on the technical and economic potential for energy savings and on operating reliability. This is because both the procurement price and the operating costs over the entire service life of a machine are important.

Direct drives & intelligent control

The ZinserSpeed 51M, with four independent drive axes, decentral spindle drive motors and the intelligent software control system EasySpin, is the economic basis for the production of top quality fine to coarse ring yarns. The precise package structure ensures perfect roving package unwinding in the ring spinning machine. Set up for up to 208 spindles for fine yarn production, a maximum output is achieved for the ring spinning mill.

What new features does the ZinserSpeed 51M offer?

  • Energy-saving mode for suction and flyer table blowing.
  • Operating reliability when power supply networks are unstable.
  • Wear-resistant and energy-optimised bobbin rail drive.
  • Energy-optimised connection of travelling cleaner.
  • Power and drive units combined.
  • Shorter set-up, tooling and servicing times.

Up to 20% energy savings

Keeping the flyer table perfectly clean in the roving frame has a high value in the production of high-quality roving. The contamination of the machine is dependent on the material being processed so the roving frame is, eg, less contaminated during fine yarn production with long-fibre, combed material. The machine needs to be cleaned less frequently with this quality of roving. Based on this fact, Zinser has developed a new energy-saving mode for the suction and roving table blowing — configurable according to roving type.

Suction during roving breakage can be continuous in the energy-saving mode with a greatly reduced output or cyclical, alternating between energy-saving mode and normal mode. The intervals are set according to the roving quality. This reduces the energy normally required for cleaning by up to 65 per cent, dependent on the raw material.

With regards to the total energy consumption of the roving frame, the new suction system alone represents up to 20 per cent savings. The energy-saving mode, cleaning cycle and duration can be set rapidly and easily centrally via the EasySpin touchscreen.

Technical innovations

The new wear-resistant, energy-optimised bobbin rail drive with improved gears also uses much less energy.

The ZinserSpeed 51M also operates safely during power failures. The intelligent power failure fuse detects power failures and switches the roving frame off in a controlled manner. Once the power supply is restored, the machine starts up again without problems. Roving br
