Updeep Singh is MD of Itemas India Unit

ITEMA, Italy has appointed Updeep Singh as the new Managing Director of Itema Weaving (India) Pvt Ltd, succeeding Tapas Nandi. Updeep Singh joins Itema with broad experience as a senior executive leader in the Indian textile industry. Prior to joining Itema, Singh held the role of COO at NSL Textiles Ltd (since 2012) and Director of Business and Marketing for SEL Manufacturing Ltd (since 2011).

Fulvio Carlo Toma, the Group Sales & Marketing Director of Itema, says: "Updeep is extraordinarily prepared to take on this new challenge in his career and I am convinced he is the right person to lead our already strong presence in India to new heights of success."

From 2005 to 2011, Singh held a number of leadership positions in Welspun India. He was first appointed as President (Projects & Commercial) and later promoted to President (Corporate Function).
