UK-based Riva Home opens new manufacturing biz

Riva Home a home textile supplier, which is based in Leeds, has announced an expansion and opening of its new manufacturing business in Tamworth- creating over 35 new jobs and expanding its product range in preparation for growth in the years ahead. The company already specialises in the design and distribution of home textile goods including curtains, cushions, bedding and throws. It will now be manufacturing a sizable proportion of its own goods in the UK. Customers of Riva Home include high street retailers and independent stores alike – in addition to online retailers and those based overseas.

The company says it plans to quickly provide its customers with access to additional products, with the added benefits of shorter manufacturing lead times and alternative designs to those already supplied. The introduction of Riva Home’s manufacturing capabilities has meant Lloyd Evans – formerly of Evans Lichfield – will join its growing team to head the production operation based off-site from the firm’s head office and distribution complex in Leeds.

Managing director Justin Green said: “We are delighted to be introducing UK-based manufacturing capabilities into our business, and feel now is the right time to support our customers by offering more high-quality textiles products, while creating more jobs to help the UK economy as best we can.”

By using modern machinery and production techniques, Riva Home plans to rapidly introduce print-on-demand and personalisation services into the home textiles industry. Green also said “other significant plans” were being made to expand product ranges and categories in the very near future.

He added: “We are always striving to be the best we can be, and to add value for our customers, and we’ll do this by continually improving what we can offer from the perspective of both the products themselves and the service we offer.”
