The AGM served as a platform to review the industry’s performance, deliberate on future strategies, and celebrate outstanding achievements in export and research and development.

The 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (India) [TMMA(I)] concluded at the ITME Center, Nariman Point, Mumbai. The event was graced by Rakesh Mehra, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and Managing Director of Banswara Syntex, who was the Chief Guest. The AGM served as a platform to review the industry’s performance, deliberate on future strategies, and celebrate outstanding achievements in export and research and development.

During the awards ceremony, the association honoured several leading companies and individuals in the textile engineering industry for their contributions. Awards for Export Excellence and segment-wise export performance, along with accolades for innovations in Research and Development, were presented. M Sankar, Chairman of TMMA(I), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners and acknowledged their role in driving the Indian textile machinery sector forward despite the ongoing global challenges.

In his address, Sankar emphasised, “The synergy between the user industry and the textile engineering sector is more critical than ever. As we push for modernization and greater efficiency, it is essential that both industries work hand-in-hand to enhance competitiveness, reduce costs, and ensure sustainable growth.” He also called for robust governmental support in the form of R&D initiatives and policies that would help the industry maintain its momentum on the global stage.

The AGM concluded with a focus on the importance of collaboration within the textile ecosystem and between the industry and government. TMMA(I) remains committed to driving innovation and growth in the sector, ensuring that India continues to lead in global textile manufacturing.
