The Textiles Ministry has engaged 21 e-commerce companies so far for online marketing of handloom products. To promote e-marketing of handloom products, a policy framework was designed under which any willing e-commerce platform with good track record can participate in the online marketing, Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta said.
?So far, this ministry has engaged 21 e-commerce entities for online marketing of handloom products,? he said. As on December 31, 2017, Rs 9.54 crore sales were generated by web portals, he said.
