For just a few weeks now, 169,728 spindles have been doing their duty under one roof at the largest ring spinning plant in the world. The Welspun manufacturing facility in Anjar, India is an enterprise of superlatives, and active VDMA member the Neuenhauser Group has been instrumental in its development: 55 kilometres of track with 944 switches were installed just to transport the roving bobbins.
Despite historically low prime interest rates in the industrial nations, in many regions of the earth very high capital costs still prevail. For the affected customers, the question of the optimal design of their spinning mill in relation to the degree of automation and flexibility therefore still continues to be raised. Both factors have a significant influence on the investment sum and the associated capital costs over the depreciation period.
It was the textile technology show with everything. From the USTER viewpoint, the recent ShanghaiTex 2015 was a multi-faceted success: important contracts concluded, new deals initiated, market insights, and more visitors for USTER, up 7 per cent on the previous edition. And, unfortunately, there was also more rain ´ heavy downpours which kept the overall attendance at ShanghaiTex 2015 somewhat below expectations.
