Weaving Terry, Like Never Before, the banner above the new R9500 terry loom of Itema at their Colzate office seemed to convey all that the machine stands for ´ perfect terry weaving, when it was unveiled to a select audience of VIPs from Turkey, Japan, Korea and other countries.
The Techtextil and Texprocess, the two leading international trade fairs, show the world´s biggest spectrum of materials, processes and technologies for the entire textile value chain. This year´s show attracted around 42,000 visitors from 116 countries, whereas attendance increased by about 6 per cent in comparison to the previous show in 2013.
Itema has grown by about 60% in the last two years in a market that declined by about 30% over the same period.
Itema, the world´s largest privately held provider of advanced weaving solutions, including best-in-class weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services, announced results for the full year (FY2014) ended December 31, 2014, maintaining positive trend for the second year in a row after the FY2013 and H1 2014 spectacular results.

We registered an increase in the number of weaving machines sold compared to the previous year, and this itself is a hugely significant result considering the brilliant growth Itema obtained in 2013 and the decline in the market.
