Saurer Twisting Solutions was delighted to welcome customers and visitors to Saurer’s stand D40 in Hall E1. The focus was on the highly efficient FusionTwister for staple fibre yarns.

The new Vacuum Trash Cleaner VTC from Schlafhorst is an innovative unit for the Autocoro 9. It improves automated cleaning of the rotor spinning machine and thus increases its profitability.

Saurer Group announced that it is to establish a technology centre in Arbon, Switzerland. The research and development (R&D) centre at the home of the Saurer textiles group will combine Saurer’s leading expertise in sensor technology and automation with the latest innovations of Industry 4.0. Saurer is currently advertising around 10 vacancies, and the first candidates have already been found. The Group believes it can create up to 40 jobs over the next years.

With over 160 years of experience in improving production processes at different stages of the textile value chain, Saurer Group has evolved from being a machinery and components supplier to the leading provider of intelligent solutions and services for processing fibres and yarns.

The Autoconer 6 is the leader in all measured values: its production is 4% higher than that of its competitor, and it uses 3% less energy and 13% less compressed air.

Even if the winding machine is only responsible for about 10-15 per cent of the energy consumption (compressed air and electrical energy) when considering the classic ring spinning process, these criteria play an important role in assessing the performance of the machine. Comparative measurements in the package winding sector show that the Autoconer 6 is not only more productive than the competitors; it also consumes less energy and compressed air and uses the valuable raw material more sparingly. Provided with the latest equipment and E³ certification and with optimum settings, the Autoconer is the most efficient and cost-effective automatic winding machine on the market.

Saurer Group presented its full range of new technologies in fibre processing from raw material to a multitude of yarns during the Shanghaitex 2017. The product range further included different finishing processes. For Saurer it was yet another opportunity to present the group as the partner of choice along the textile value chain with its full product range.
