The strength of the Rieter rotor spinning system has always been its high productivity and achievement of a consistent yarn quality, particularly in applications with shorter fibres.

The R 36 with the new S 36 spin box is a smart tool, which enables users to reach excellent productivity in line with high yarn quality from a wide range of raw materials. The new optional function Automated Spinning-In (ASI) allows higher machine productivity due to rapid spinning start-up after a machine stop.

The first R 35 rotor spinning machine in India was commissioned at Saranya Spinning Mill Pvt Ltd in Namakkal (Fig 1). This spinning mill already has experience with the former R 923 model and evaluates the innovations of the R 35 as distinctive advantages.

On a rotor spinning machine, all ends are down after a power failure. For the new semi-automated R 35 a new FSI (Fast Spinning-In) feature allows to start up a full length machine with high piecing quality in less than 15 minutes.
