From 21-24 October 2014, Picanol participated in the eighth edition of IGATEX, the garment & textile machinery exhibition staged in Lahore, Pakistan. The Picanol booth was organised by Jamil Ghauri, Managing Director of Ghauri Enterprises, who represents Picanol in Northern Pakistan (Punjab & KPK).

A cotton mechanisation programme would be introduced in Punjab following the state governments approval for the programme aimed at cultivating high density cotton at a bigger scale. Under the ambitious programme, John Deere would sow the cotton crop with the pneumatic planters in about 1,500 acres of field in Muktsar districts Malout.

With every passing this year now, our confidence is improving. There are a few structural changes which I think have happened to the textile industry over the last several years and the most important being that this generally the demand and supply balance has been restored.
