The districts where the tehsils have been identified are Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Beed, Buldhana, Amravati, Nagpur, Akola, Yavatmal, Wardha, Chandrapur, Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon and Ahmednagar.
The Maharashtra Textile Department has planned to offer packages for textile projects in Vidarbha region with a projected investment to the tune of Rs 1,800 crore with an aim to generate 15,000 jobs.
