In May last year, the Coimbatore-based integrated textile manufacturing company KPR Mill Ltd inaugurated its first overseas garment unit in Ethiopia’s Mekelle Industrial Park.

KPR Mill, with its state-of-the-art production facilities in Tamil Nadu, produces yarn, knitted fabric, readymade garments and wind power. Now, the mill is set for expansion, with its garment capacity poised to go up by 36 million garments to cope up with the upsurge in market demand. This expansion will make the company one of the largest garment producing corporates in India.

KPR Mill, with its state-of-the-art production facilities in Tamil Nadu, produces yarn, knitted fabric, readymade garments and wind power.

Textile manufacturing firm, KPR Mill, plans to double its processing capacity at a cost of Rs 120 crore. The project is set to be completed in nine months and the firm plans to fund its expense through internal accruals and debt.

KPR Mill from Coimbatore is planning to add a greenfield manufacturing facility of 36 million garment per annum capacity at an estimated cost of Rs 175 crore.
