KARL MAYER exhibited on two sites at ITMA ASIA + CITME, and at an in-house show at KARL MAYER (China) in Wujin, Changzhou. KARL MAYER offered at ITMA ASIA + CITME innovative solutions for warp knitting, weaving preparation and technical textiles.

KARL MAYER Technische Textilien GmbH is a globally successful textile machinery manufacturer, which was formed by merging KARL MAYER Malimo with KARL MAYER LIBA – combining many years of know-how between them. This innovative, pioneering company supplies highly efficient bi- and multiaxial warp knitting machines for producing dry, non-crimp fabrics (NCFs) for the composites sector, as well as fibre spreading machines for the production of unidirectional fibre tapes made from a wide range of technical filament yarns.

KARL MAYER, the technology and market leader offers perfect solutions for warp knitting, technical textiles and warp preparation for weaving. KARL MAYER will exhibit its latest innovations in two locations simultaneously, and simultaneously at an in-house exhibition at KARL MAYER (China) in Wujin. A free shuttle service will be available between the two locations.

Karl Mayer has produced the first warp preparation machine for the warp knitting sector that can offer both: direct and sectional warping. The DS Opto-EC is an efficient machine with a broad portfolio.
A targeted look at different technologies with similar objectives often reveals synergistic effects that can be used to great advantage – as the example of the DS Opto-EC developed by KARL MAYER shows. This innovative warp preparation machine combines sectional warping in weaving preparation with direct warping in warp knitting preparation on the basis of a universal hybrid principle. The result of this clever combination is maximum flexibility and economic viability when producing warp beams for warp knitting.

Italy represents elegance and exclusivity in fashion like no other country, and this southern European country still heads the top price bracket. Premium Italian fabrics enjoy an excellent reputation, and are finding new customers in the emerging economies, where great importance is attached to high-end brands. The national sector is confident that it can expand its position on the world market over the next few years, as well. The optimism of the Italian textile sector is not unfounded.

The monitoring of production data is becoming more and more important in modern manufacturing operations. Furthermore, in view of tight processing schedules, unplanned machine stoppages are also expensive and have to be dealt with as quickly as possible. In this case, the first step is to make absolutely clear what the problem is. The machine manufacturer’s technical support personnel need the customer to supply all the relevant data relating to the situation on site, and this must be done without any mistakes, and as clearly and quickly as possible.

KARL MAYER´s stand once again proved to be much more than one of the first ports of call for the warp knitting and warp preparation sectors at this year´s ITM fair. The warp preparation section in particular was crowded, despite a relatively slow start to the trade fair in general.
