The three-day event that took place from November 1 to 3, 2017 was inaugurated by HE Butti Al Ghandi, Board of Director of the Dubai World Trade Centre on November 1 at 11:30 am at Hall 6, Dubai World Trade Centre.

Jin lian Hu has obtained PhD from UMIST (now University of Manchester). She joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1994. She teaches a broad range of subjects such as structure and mechanics of textiles, testing and evaluation of textiles and clothing, quality assurance, textile technology and material sciences, as well as hi-tech and non-apparel textiles.
