Splice yarn tester from Pioneer

Splice Strength Tester is an instrument, which determines the splicing strength of the yarn at the time of spinning.

Splice strength (single/double) yarn tester (Schlafhorst type)/(breaking strength tester) is mechanical type with maximum pointer with suitable carrying case and operating manual. Splice Strength Tester is an instrument, which determines the splicing strength of the yarn at the time of spinning.

The tester consists of the following parts:

  • A grip which is placed above the dial in which the yarn is to be attached.
  • A indicating dial of scale which is graduated form 0 to 100 divisions; O denoting the lowest and 100th division the highest value in grams.
    The scale is subdivided to read grams. Also a second needle is provided called as the Slave needle (maximum pointer) ensure that whenever a reading is to be take the slave needle is on the right side of the main pointer.
  • A handle is laced just below the dial to hold the instrument.
    The splice strength tester comes in different ranges: 0-4N = 0 to 400 grams, 0-5N = 0 to 500 grams, 0-15N = 0 to 1,500 grams, and 0-20N = 0 to 2,000 grams.
