SITRA re-elects board members

SITRA, at its recently-held Annual General Body Meeting has reconstituted its governing body – The Council of Administration. Dr KV Srinivasan, Managing Director, Premier Mills Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore was elected as the Chairman of the Council of Administration. Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director of Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd, Coimbatore was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Council of Administration.
Since 1991, Dr Srinivasan has been a member of the Council. He is also the Managing Director of Sree Narasimha Textiles Pvt Ltd and Premier Fine Linens Pvt Ltd. Dr Srinivasan has a Doctorate in Textile Technology from the University of Manchester.
Jayavarthanavelu has been a member of the Council for 14 years. He has an MBA from Philadelphia University, USA. He is an Executive Committee member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), New Delhi, and is a Member of the Southern Regional Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
