Sanmit´s USP is constant improvement

Since its foundation, Sanmit Card Clothing has been the manufacturing and distributing card clothing products for all models of cards available in the global market. Due to its strong R&D team, Sanmit is in tier 1 segment among all card clothing manufacturing companies that helps business across the world and its products speaks value for money to its customers.

With cutting-edge card clothing technology, Sanmit is investing about 20-30 per cent of its turnover for its R&D department for the development to produce world class card clothing products. The company has six automatic stationary flat tops manufacturing machines with the capacity to produce 6,000-7,000 stationary flat tops and 30-40 sets card cleaning (C-Cleaners) system every month. N Sivaram, Managing Director, Sanmit Card Clothing, talks to the Editor of the Indian Textile Journal on how they started their business and what was the turning point for the company.

Excerpts…
ITJ Editor: Can you tell us about the beginning of Sanmit Card Clothing and the turning point in its fortune?
N Sivaram (NS):
Sanmit was started in 2010 with 10 employees who had an experience of two decades in card clothing industry. Right from the beginning, Sanmit was equipped with fully automatic plant to manufacture high end card clothing products to cater the needs of high speed carding machines. The assurance of quality with competitive price, prompt service aftersales and reputed agent network brought the turning point in the fortune of Sanmit.

ITJ Editor: Are your products 100 per cent indigenous? How has been the company´s growth in all these four years?
NS:
No. Sanmit has 50 per cent export market (supplying various countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan and Bangladesh) and 50 per cent indegenious market by using 100 per cent imported metallic wire raw materials from European source. Sanmit has achieved steady high growth in the past four years and reached the current year expected turnover of Rs 5 crore from Rs 18 lakh in 2010.

ITJ Editor: How has your export market developed all these years?
NS:
Sanmit tied up with strong agent network in overseas market by using their reputation with high quality products and has developed good market share. Sanmit is continuously improving its card products and participating all international exhibitions through its agents which develop export market continuously.

ITJ Editor: What are the other products for the textile industry? What are their USP?
NS:
There are many kinds of products in textile industry, but Sanmit produces high-end card clothing products, which gives more quality improvement in yarn by its latest generation C-Cleaners and stationary flat tops and other products. Due to its latest product development with automatic plant, Sanmit produces cost-effective product. With high accuracy and quality that suites for all customers to save considerable amount for their regular replacements.

ITJ Editor: Are there any further plans to go for any new products? Is so, please elaborate.

NS: Yes. Sanmit is planning to have tie up with European source to manufacture new products to cater entire range of card clothing items for high speed carding machines. ITJ Editor: How´s the market in India for card clothing and related products? What are its prospects, problems, strengths and weaknesses?
NS: No doubt. India is a big market for selling card clothing-related products, sure it is an emerging market and many upgradation is going on in Indian spinning industry, which gives more demand for our products. Every
