The esteemed journey of the RSWM Limited (formerly known as Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills Ltd), a LNJ Bhilwara Group company, started in 1961. Since the formation, RSWM has been one of the largest textile manufacturers in India, primarily producing the best quality of yarns like synthetic, blended, mélange, cotton, speciality and value added yarns suitable for suitings, shirtings, hosiery, carpet, denim, technical textiles and industrial applications.

An ISO 9001:2001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and SA-8000:2008 accredited company, RSWM moved from strength to strength and today, is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of synthetic & blended spun yarns from India. RSWM has built one of the most impressive textile manufacturing infrastructures in the country: 8 state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, 4,35,000 spindles, 176 looms, 1,25,000 MTA yarn capacity, 36 MMA fabric capacity, including denim fabric. The company [currently] also owns a fabric process house at Mordi (Rajasthan).

Speaking about the inception and how RSWM has fared all along its growth phase, Riju Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director, RSWM Ltd, said, ´The company has been steadily growing over last more than 50 years. Understanding the customer need and giving top quality product and innovation has been the major focus area. Starting production of Melange Yarn in 1994 and thereafter expansion at Banswara in 1995, putting up Wartsila power plants for captive power generation were major initiative till year 2002. In 2002 RSWM decided to start on growth path and ventured into production of denim fabric and also put up 46 MW Coal Based power plant. During its golden jubilee year in 2011, it started putting up highly automated plant of 51,840 spindles at Kharigram, which is only second in the world and first in India. Yarn produced at this plant known as SJ-11 is sold as a premium yarn under the brand name ULTIMA.´

The main competitive strength of the company is its innovative product range that includes specialty, functional and technical yarns and fabrics. The company recently has shifted its focus to produce more and more eco-friendly and natural textiles in order to meet the emerging needs of the market.

RSWM offers one of the broadest range of products in terms of fibre blends, counts and shades. Fibres possessed by the company include polyester, viscose, acrylic, cotton, wool, rayon, silk, polyamide and linen. In addition the company produces a range of speciality products made out of both unorthodox fibres, i.e., soya, protin, bamboo, and branded fibres such as tencel and lycra.

RSWM manufactures a range of blended suiting fabric and has a significant presence in the domestic market with its Mayur brand. Mayur Suitings enjoys high brand equity in its target segment in the country.

LNJ Denim, a denim manufacturing facility established in 2007 under the head of RSWM Limited, is a well known denim fabric supplier in India, with an installed manufacturing capacity of 18 MMA. Within a short span of time, it has earned good reputation among International and domestic brands, as a Innovative and Quality Denim Fabric Supplier.

Jhunjhunwala said, ´RSWM is offering many types of speciality yarn. Recently it has started increasing its presence in home textiles and is producing speciality yarns for furnishing fabrics. It also serves need of its customers producing technical textiles. Special yarn has been developed in collaboration with Invista to fulfill the need of denim producers like Raymond and Uco Denim. It has also developed many fancy yarns for apparel end use. Its ´Ultima´ brand yarn is most preferred yarn in case of knitting and weaving. In last week of March 2015 RSWM commissioned addition 25,920 spindles on Melange Yarn and it also started producing green polyester fibre at Ringus as a major initiative taken for the environment.´
